Challenge Canberra had a challenging year with the location being forced to move due to major infrastructure works. Despite this the Challenge Canberra team put on a great event. The swim course had some great locations for spectators to see you swim (a rarity in triathlon) and the exit was much more comfortable. The ride course had a couple of tricky spots and I think the team will work on it next year but once you are on Parks Way it is rolling and fast. Challenge Canberra is only in its third year but is growing and getting better every year.

I love challenge Canberra. Last year was my first event in my current journey of being morbidly obese to trifit. So it’s special to me for that reason. The swim this year was great, the run good, but the bike course was not as good as last year. I know that’s not CC fault, and you guys did great with the cbr government difficulties! Last years bike course was magic! This year was just good. The run course had some slight navigational difficulties, my mate had an issue and I wasn’t sure where to go passing the finish line after my first out and back. Traffic control also shut down roads before 4:30, in fact it was well before 4:15. I went bush to get a park because they blocked the entry too early. Other than that all was good, and I hope to return every year from a 9 hour return drive away.
