What can I say? This was my first multi-stage Ultra and I was overwhelmed by it's beauty, atmosphere, support - and difficulty! I now understand that "Nepali Flat" is anything but, and am so, so, fortunate to have been a part of this inaugural event. Anything but easy, I laughed, cried, swore and whooped my way round the epic course. Being totally cut off from the outside world (I decided to switch off my phone throughout the event), isolated in the mountains, with monkeys, goats, butterflies and friendly - if slightly perplexed - locals for company was just the tonic I needed. This week was just about the best in my life so far , thanks to the the UK and local Nepali teams who looked after us all so well, and a magnificent country to travel through

This is a friendly and beautiful, very well-managed, self-supported multi-day ultra, in the Nepalese foothills / mountains. Be prepared for the obvious hardships of living out of a rucksack for 5 days, enduring lengthy climbs / descents, coping with varied terrain and direct sun ...

This is a friendly and beautiful, very well-managed, self-supported multi-day ultra, in the Nepalese foothills / mountains. Be prepared for the obvious hardships of living out of a rucksack for 5 days, enduring lengthy climbs / descents, coping with varied terrain and direct sun / heat for long periods of the day - so some related previous experience would certainly be beneficial, but not entirely essential. The support team and crew tracked all the competitors continuously, providing more than adequate safety and water points. This event will not only show you jaw-dropping scenery, but it immerses you directly into a relatively untouched part of the world that most people will never ever see or experience. Not for the feint-hearted, but definitely one for the bucket list.

It was a privilege to be part of this fantastic event. There was the obvious: incredible views, some suitably tough elevation and group camaraderie. But this was backed up with Simon, Rachael and their Nepalese team trying really hard to 'get it right' for us. The Nepalese countryside felt safe (even as a lone, blonde woman in shorts) but if there were any points of the course where there was any question (small towns, many dogs etc) then I one of the team escorted me by motorbike without being intrusive. I definitely recommend! Do it!

I simply cannot begin to explain how amazing this event was. It isn’t just running it is about the place the terrain, the locals, the team and more so in this than any other event, the friends made. Nepal is a wonderful country it was an honour to run there. From the very beginning Simon made me feel welcome and included. His instructions were clear and helpful although I do think ear plugs should be on the list 🤣 The routes were tough but manageable and with the team on the ground I felt fully supported and safe at all times. If you are looking for an event that is more than just running then this is it. I have made friends for life and have the most incredible memories.

This race was the best of MDS and UTMB. An awesome self sufficient multi day ultra with mountain terrain and inclines. Set in the foothills of the Himalaya's the scenery was awe-inspiring, even professional photographers would struggle to capture the depth of beauty. The course was largely mountain trail with some short road / tarmac sections. The route takes you up and down covering an average of a marathon a day with serious uphills. The route takes you through mountain villages, trail, rocks/waterfalls, and even a river beach, you wont get bored with the scenery. Not sure what the locals thought of us, they probably thought we were crazy, but they are super friendly and you get the odd "blessing" from locals, I won't spoil the surprise by adding more detail. As a self sufficient event I didn't expect luxury so have no complaints and this easily satisfies my need for a challenge that is hard but enjoyable. The hosts were truly amazing !
