Dave’s race briefing about actually looking up and around not just down at your feet. Taking in the surroundings and being grateful for the ability to run at all, much less long distances is a blessing. Speed isn’t the only or h to inmost important metric an ld Dave reminded us of that. We ran alongside some great people and even more people gave up their time and effort to make this happen. it was awesome THANK YOU.

What made Camino stand out was the pure joy and support, both from event organizers and runners. So much love out there on the course. It was a a lot of fun. Well stocked aid stations. Fun pre run. Great pod casts. And just all round beautiful people. I had the best time!

Amazing event. Really love the vibe and the people at aid stations. Will be coming back next year for a round 3. The only reservation I’ve got is the lack of tracking app where my friends and family could check my status. Other than that, all good :)

Very well organised, supportive and inclusive race. Did together with few friemds, spread over different distances and paces, and we all had an amazing experience! Clearly marked route, great aidstations, lots of support from community- family & friends on the course. Lovely route following river, canal views, finishing at Hackney bridge, where you can grab some post race food, drinks etc and support other people comming in. Many personal details like colour-in bibs, handmade ceramic medals, handmade energy balls at the aidstation, all made by a local runners & artists. Will definitelly be back next year and for some other Camino races!

The event was hosted amazingly ❤️‍🔥 great support and good energy from all the team at camino x Perfect 50k for your first time, has lots of great scenery and wildlife to keep you company during your greatful miles 🙏 looking forward to my next 50k with camino... my first official 50k was with camino and is a day I'll remember forever! 💚💯🙏 has lead me to many other races, this day was ultra 21 for me in 3 years and all started with epping forest 50k. I made a great friend on the lee valley 50k 2024 and we done this race together and we speak everyday 😎 camino ultra truly brings people together ❤️ nothing but good words to say from me x

I’ve returned to the Lea Valley 50k four times now. It’s a fast 50k: flat and straight down the canal for most of it. The real reason to do this is the community and the love that the organisers, volunteers and participants put into the race. There are fast experienced runners, and Camino make a real effort to encourage people to participate - in the 50k or 25k - who may be nervous about running an ultra or from a demographic that isn’t so well represented in the running world. The finish at Hackney Bridge is epic. It always feels like a party: DJ, massage, sauna, sun (🤞) and maybe a few beers, whilst exchanging notes with the organisers and participants. I gave 5-stars for “swag” - there’s not much, which is a refreshing change from the horrendous waste running events often generate - but what there is, is quality and personal. My locally designed and made wooden medal is now a coaster and I rest my glass on it every day. This is such a good event. Sign up and I’ll see you in 2027.

I've done a few Camino races now and can say all of them have been fantastic - well organised and run by great people. They also have a clear purpose of sustainable running and community which makes them stand out amongst the masses of race organisers out there.
