The course was great and varied, I really enjoyed it. There were a few times where I had to rely on my watch to make sure that I was going in the right direction, I would recommend that people have the gpx on their phone or watch as mandatory. At the aid station, it wasn't clear where the course continued across the road. When I asked the people at the aid station which way to go, they didn't really know. The person who came in after me also struggled to find the route after the aid station. The people at the aid station should have known and been able to be very clear where to go. At the other road crossing the marshall was running to the point where the runners were meant to turn onto the moor (i.e. he wasn't ready in position when I arrived). When I asked him which way to go he said something to the effect of "I think it's that way". That's not great for someone who is supposed to guide people. I had to rely on my watch and eventually figured it out. When we started the run we were told that we would end in the same location but we actually ended back at the Burator centre, which was confusing when ending the run. It would have been nice to have more fanfare at the beginning and end, but that's a minor point. All in all though, I really enjoyed the event and would do more of them with Wild Running.

It was a great run in a great location, unfortunately it was quite poorly organised, we waited 20 minutes after the allocated time to start walking to the start line, which was a very long way, and the Marshalls were barely speaking, they spoke very quietly in the race briefing and nobody could hear, at the end it kinda felt like we just finished and walked off, no real atmosphere or anything, when you pay for an event you expect an event feeling, it would have been no different to have ran it alone on a Sunday morning, also it’s 48 hours on an so havnt been told my time or race position, no info has been given out at all, I’ve e mailed to ask but not had a reply, also the medals are very cheap and easily breakable, something more sturdy would be good, even if we had to pay a few quid more, Overall a little disappointing with poor communication, hopefully lessons learnt for next time because the race itself was a lot of fun.

It was fun, but not enough marshals on the event, resulting in my group nearly going the wrong way coming out of the gated area. Not enough signs which are needed on a really dark run. Good services for hot food and hot beveridges after the event but no water filling stations on route. When we walked at the beginning we were taken past the start post so that could have been better signposted. Staff were kind and encouraging otherwise.

The event was enjoyable & I would do it again. The route was stunning & challenging & gave a great experience. The only complaint was at the feed station I asked where to go & the marshals didn’t seem to know & vaguely waived me in the direction of where lights were. This resulted in myself and a group of about 7 others getting lost and having to walk through a knee height bog to get back on the route.

In my opinion it was unclear as to where the start was and the distance from the parking area. You couldn't hear the marshals at the meeting point or at the race briefing. We had a lot of hanging around before the event. We were lucky it was dry and mild but even then I was cold waiting for over an hour. I didn't see any water at the finish. For the cost of the race I expected more. I enjoyed the run and only say the above as a way of improving the event. I must say the food was amazing and felt so sorry for them that their payment system wasn't working. I hope everyone eating there paid up when they got home.
