A very well organised city road race. It never felt too busy/crowded either at the start/finish area or during the race itself. Good support from spectators throughout the race, and a PB course for those in the shape to try for it.

Great race! Some feedback for next time would be to make the bike storage area more obvious: I saw loads of bikes chained to a railing when I arrived so I put my bike there, only to see the nearly-empty bike racks in the middle of event village. I'd put them near the road entrance with a big sign so people don't have to cycle through grass and crowds to find them. The only bottleneck on the race was near the beginning, on the road next to event village but it was fine on the way back when people had spread out some. Also it seems a few people really pushed themselves at the finish line and were a bit sick - totally understandable but there should be a rest area just around the corner of the finish so people don't have to embarrass themselves if feeling nauseous.

Was REALLY shocked and dismayed to find out there was ZERO water stations until the finish. I have NEVER run a 10k without there being at least one at 5k. A woman collapsed and had to be stretchered out. Not having drink stations I can only assume was to save or make more money and was VERY irresponsible! My wife and father in law have been running many years more than me and along with other runners, all said it was a shock to find no water. This can be potentially life threatening to some. There are no checks on fitness - if someone enters who is dehydrated or isnt fit, this water is badly needed. For myself, as someone fit, I could still do with a drink at 5k, especially if a gel has been taken that can dry out the mouth. I wouldnt do this run again if no drink stations are at least at 5k once. Otherwise all really good so it's a shame this let it down!
