This was my first duathlon. It was well organised and the routes were clearly marked. The scenery was lovely and the damp/wet weather kept the cycle nicely challenging. The marshalls were encouraging and friendly. It was easy to find and everything was in a short distance of the car for leaving our belongings. I would recommend this as a race and can't wait to do it again next year. Great medal too!

it was a pretty wet day! but the rain did stop as we started!  I think the run course was changed slightly because of the wet grass slope, there was a couple of corners that were getting pretty slippy on the runs and i had fairly flat trainers!

the bike ride was as expected, I dont think the rain/wet effected this much, not at the speeds i was going anyway! maybe the faster riders may have had to be cautious!

the local support was non existent as you have to pay to get into bowood, and it wasnt the best day to do this!  you can watch the bike laps for free from the car park but there wasnt much of this.

racking of bikes seemed quite tight compared to when I did the triathlon at bowood previously, my section was pretty much touching handlebars

well organised and fun though.

On the whole a really enjoyable event. Good course and very good for supporters. My only issue was after finishing there were three marshals near the transition exit but nobody checked that my number tallied with the sticker on my bike. There are some very expensive bikes in transition and it's crucial to ensure that this element of marshalling is effectively controlled. Looking forward to coming back next year though.
