Early bib pick up was smooth and easy. Traffic the morning of was awful. I was thankfully dropped off, but trying to find parking would have been a nightmare. Streets were at an almost standstill. The pre-race environment was fun! The host and DJ kept the vibes high. There were a lot of restrooms available before the race but they were hard to find. I only found them because an event staff member started calling out to the long line there were more one block up. The race started pretty close to on time (compared to other years) and the start of the course is wide enough to accommodate all the runners. Water stations were bad. I had to stand in line every single time until maybe mile 9? I didn’t use the restroom but all stations had lines 10 people deep. Very minimal shade and I think it starts too late in the day, especially for a full marathon in September. The finish was crowded and the snacks were just okay compared to other races I’ve done. The DJ in the finish area was super fun though. Lastly, the train cut me off. I understand Boulderthon did what they could to deal with the trains, but maybe avoid the tracks in the first place. This was my 3rd Boulderthon and I probably won’t do one again.

Boulderthon 2025 was fantastic. Important information was well-communicated leading up to the race. The bib pickup was seamless, with options to pick up at local running stores or at the Expo. I enjoyed a pre-race dinner at a local restaurant that provided a free delicious pizza to runners. My race-day morning went smoothly. I had no trouble getting to the starting line or finding my corral. The race started exactly on time with no hiccups. The course was well-marked, well-supported, and felt high-energy throughout. There were ample aid stations with water and electrolyte drinks and portapotties along the course. I appreciated the 7am start time, as my run was complete before it got too hot outside. The finish line zone was smooth, well-stocked, and high-energy. The downtown finish lends well to a fun post-run day on Pearl St, continuing to check out the expo and visit local restaurants for post-run celebrations. This year, I especially appreciated Boulderthon's commitment to sustainability - the use of biodegradable bibs and reusable cups sets a great example for other large runs

The volunteers throughout the event and at aid stations were phenomenal and much appreciated. Parking for me was easy and close to the start. The expo had a lot of cool booths for both runners and spectators. Marketing for the event was both plentiful and exciting. Self-seeding at the start was clearly marked and easy to get to. One place it lacked this year was congestion where the marathon course merged with the half marathon course. The course narrowed heavily and made it difficult to move around runners which made it uncomfortable for both the marathon and half marathon runners. They ran out of finisher shirts in the marathon after the race was over. I think the event would be better to host the half marathon and the marathon on different days. Overall, it was a great event to bring the running community together and I hope it continues to grow and improve!

This was my first half marathon! You could truly feel the support around you. The course had lots of water checkpoints, bathroom stops, and even Gel stations. I felt fueled throughout my run. The course was beautiful!

As an experienced half marathon runner, I have to say this race is not worth the hype. The course had 3 U turns- a nightmare if you are trying to PR and you have to completely change your momentum. I didn’t get stopped by the train but I saw people who did. A train in a race course is unacceptable to me. The metering of paces didn’t seem like it happened at all, I had to fight through people the entire race. Not likely to run this one again

This is absolutely my favorite half marathon that I do! I have run this race the last 4 years. It is so well run and organized it is why I continue to come back again and again. I wish this years shirt was a bit higher quality like the past years. I also really missed the cold plunge vendor at the end of the race. That was a great perk. I liked the addition of the app this year as this was super easy to stay in communication and share your location to your family. I will be back again next year. Thanks team.

Loved every moment of this event! The atmosphere was great! First time racing with Boulderthon and everything was great! I really recommend it and I can’t wait for the next year to participate on this event again! Thank you very much Boulderthon.
