It was my first ever ultramarathon and a great first timer experience. The support throughout the race was incredible. All the details were clearly outlined well in advance of race day so everyone knew what they were doing. Would love to race again next year!

All in all an extremely well run event which I’ll definitely be signing up for again. Just a few possible improvements. Slightly disappointed with food options at the pit stops, however there was one more than expected which was a blessing. I needed to sign up for the navigation app to download the map. Not ideal as already paid a fair sum to enter the race: I understand a ‘free trail’ was an option but i feel the map should be available to download via organisers. Perhaps partnering up with Redwells at the end to offer a discount on a beer at redwells or a free can would be an idea given the finish line location.

Great event, 2nd time of completing and the registration has definitely improved, really smooth and easy to navigate. Course is congested at start first few 100 metres (due to tight alley) but after that very open and a lovely course, lots of different terrain, bridges, fields, meadow etc, although think there may have been a bit more road this year? Navigating is tough with bad signal , and hardly any markers this year, which was a shame as last time it just helped confirm you are on the right track,esp when tired as watches can take time to catch up. So would recommend bringing them back, just to help keep us on track . Lucky again with the weather, great course and all participants and Marshals and photographers are so friendly, would recommend, and hope it continues. Medal is fab , great pictures and feed stations had an assortment of treats, the salted potatoes were a highlight!!!! Thank you for organising

Thank you for your review Suzy..this was the first time I haven't marked the whole course.It takes 2 days to mark. We took a decision not to mark it this year because last year the arrows were tampered with and people put them up the wrong way round which was even worse than not marking it at all. And a few markers got thrown in the river. It's hard to know what to do for the best. Glad you enjoyed the food. Best wishes Kevin

An amazing event. The organisation was first class and the route was well laid out with well stocked aid stations. Everyone involved was so friendly and full of enthusiasm and it was great to chat with other runners along the way.

A well organised event with some great volunteers along the route. Plenty of treatsand fluids at the aid stations. An easy route for beginners. If you are thinking about doing it then stop thinking and go sign up immediately.
