Yes, we've used different shades of blue for each of these - navy in 2023, light blue in 2024, and medium blue this year - we love blue:) The artwork has been different colors each year, but I can see your point. We'll switch it up for next year, plus - not sure there are any more shades of blue out there:) Regarding PORCH Briar Chapel. Our main goal with this event it to raise awareness for the cause, and we are also happy to help facilitate donations by asking athletes if they would like to give during registration. Of course, 100% of those funds go directly to the charity and we match 10% of that total. We try to keep the registration fees as low cost as possible so if we were to donate more, we would have to raise the registration fees. It's a delicate balance. With all this said, we believe we were completely transparent in the description online, but we will review and adjust if needed so there is absolutely no confusion. Thanks, Laura. We love the tees too - super soft and fit great. Glad you like! Love the idea of cupless, but there are issues with that, particularly in shorter races, the main one being that there would be massive bottlenecks at the aid stations if everyone was trying to fill their own cup during the race. Cupless works great for longer races, like ultras. With this said, we encourage folks to bring their own hydration packs or handheld water bottles and that helps alleviate some use. I would also note that we use biodegradable cups. Not perfect, but the best we can do while still supplying cups.

Thanks, Julia. Yes, there were some bottlenecks on the 5K, mostly at the beginning before runners have been spaced along the course. We've already started thinking of some ways we can improve this for next year. One idea is to add a 10K, which will start earlier. We would also lower the cap in the 5K and keep the total number of turkey trotters capped at 600 (for the 2 mile and 5K timed and untimed - and add a new 10K), like this year. Combined, this would disperse more runners along space and time, relieving much of the volume on the courses. We know that runners have their post turkey trot meals/activities to get to, so we would keep the same times in place for the post-race festivities. We're not yet 100% on making this change, as there are many factors to consider first, but this is a real possibility. Plus, I do believe that many people would love a longer run on Thanksgiving morning. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
