MetaSport does a brilliant job and this event is one of the best in Asia. Course is tough, and the bike in particular is very difficult towards the end. The run is really hilly which makes it even harder. The venue is magnificent and awesome event to bring the family. So easy to...

Bintan to Singapore is less than an hour's trip by boat. The Sprint distance race starts early in the morning, hence participants have to arrive from the previous day. The Olympic distance however, starts in the afternoon, which gives the participants the choice of simply making ...
Bintan to Singapore is less than an hour's trip by boat. The Sprint distance race starts early in the morning, hence participants have to arrive from the previous day. The Olympic distance however, starts in the afternoon, which gives the participants the choice of simply making a day's trip if they don't wish to spend the weekend at Bintan. Both races start and finish at Nirwana Gardens Hotel. Early bookings are recommended as the resort gets pretty packed during the race weekend. As the Sprint race starts early in the morning the heat is not so strong. The bike course of the Sprint distance is not as hilly as the OD course. The run is not flat and includes 2 challenging climbs. In general, both distances are fun and well organised, and they offer a good opportunity for a quick family weekend getaway close to Singapore.
