This was our first event with Big Bear Events and we were impressed. It was an excellent day, run in a very friendly and organised manner. I am sure it won't be our last.

Brixworth Country Park is a beautiful location and we were blessed with good weather (a sunburnt nose in March?!!) and unexpected entertainment by stunt planes from the nearby flight club. The interesting layout of the 5K route coupled with my non-existent sense of direction meant I was surprised by my surroundings for the first 5 laps and I think this is why I managed a full marathon instead of the planned 20 miles. The local dog walkers and anglers were a little bemused to see us, but they were very friendly and supportive with their "well dones". Top class event team and a fabulous aid station manned by the friendliest couple. A great medal, souvenir beer/cider/apple juice and legendary flapjack. I'll definitely be back.

Fantastic event. All organisers and marshals are extremely friendly and have enjoyed attending the last few events. I hope to attend many more over the next few months. Course was great (though muddy in places). Aid station was fab - sorry again for drowning the jelly babies 👀😳😹
