This was a lovely race and my first time attending. It was fairly flat with the occasional incline, but save your energy for the hellish hill at the end, but once you're at the top you're only a few feet from the end. The marshals were lovely, nice views, got a nice t-shit and water bottle at the end but would have preferred a medal (only because the metal ones they did a few years ago were so cool, but always love a race t-shirt) Very good value for money race, local and was amazing they opened the food bank and hopefully got a lot of items for the people locally in need. Only thing i'd think would better it would be chip timing, I think it would be a lot more popular with local clubs if it was - might be worth putting up the price and having it chip timed. Otherwise fab event, will be doing it again. Thanks BHAM! Runners.

Only in it's second year, this race has already established itself in Somerset. The 200 places sold out quickly but due to the width of the trails and it's uniqueness of the race I can't see or would want to see the number rise. The BHAM running club are hugely popular here in Somerset and are well represented in the county series and it was a real pleasure to take part in their race. The race starts with a down hill section and then mostly flat until inside the last kilometre the massive Cripple Hill has to be conquered. Great medal and prizes on completion and terrific home made cakes. Overall, a terrific, local race which took me back over 20 years to when I first started racing and can't wait to tackle again next year.
