I absolutely loved this. Yes the water may not be great but I still loved it. Yes there’s an uphill to transition but that just made it fun. The volunteers are great. I went on my own and was so nervous but the people, staff and competitors made you feel like you were not alone. Everything is well organised and the route is so easy to follow. Drink stations are plentiful. There was music, lots of food stalls (not expensive).

Really enjoyed this for one of my first events and would happily recommend to others. Lake was a little weedy but otherwise swim was excellent - two clearly marked laps. Transition is long, across grass and uphill but well marked out and good security. Run was two laps on the hil...

The race was ok. Swim was very weedy. Lots being brought up with each stroke. The run was brutal. That long climb up hill straight after 400m transition uphill. OUCH! Would benefit from being run the other way round to give us a flat start, a short steep up hill and a long down h...

no water in the taps in the loos. Even first thing in the morning! Water fountain would be good for spectators and competitors afterwards too many swimmers in first lap - difficult to swim properly very scenic run route fabulous
