Excellent event that I really enjoyed. Took the train from Lurgan to Lanyon. Then shuttle bus which was a bit slow due to traffic congestion. The lack of enough toilets at the start caused lengthy queues and I waited for 35 minutes but the race was starting so had to leave the qu...

Excellent event that I really enjoyed. Took the train from Lurgan to Lanyon. Then shuttle bus which was a bit slow due to traffic congestion. The lack of enough toilets at the start caused lengthy queues and I waited for 35 minutes but the race was starting so had to leave the queue which was not the perfect start to my race. Also signage letting you know you were close to the water stations would have helped.

All in all a great event and I will be returning next year but here's my main gripe. The bag drop at stormont could have and should have remained open until closer to 9 am or even one located at city hall, we got a shuttle but from the city centre and by the time we got on a bus ...

All in all a great event and I will be returning next year but here's my main gripe. The bag drop at stormont could have and should have remained open until closer to 9 am or even one located at city hall, we got a shuttle but from the city centre and by the time we got on a bus and made it over the backdrop had just closed meaning I had to run with my bag for 1 1/2 miles until I ket a family member.

The finish line was crazy!! No one could move and you could see no one, the signal was poor too meaning to find anyone was almost impossible! A lengthy queue for medals at end of leg 2 and a bit of an anticlimax! Toilet access poor along route! First time doing it and would do again but these things need updated! Also the packs for a relay team should have 5 bags included as it’s chaos to distribute otherwise!

Did last leg of relay run. Was lucky to be at red handover as it wasn’t too busy and well away from other handovers. Amount of waste through water bottles being thrown away was terrible and created a hazard at some parts of the run due to volume.. Cups were much better handed out...

Amount of waste through water bottles being thrown away was terrible and created a hazard at some parts of the run due to volume.. Cups were much better handed out by members of public. Crowd support on Ormeau Road amazing. Finish line area not great as it wasn’t clearly marked. Absolutely gutted to find out there were no medals left at Ormeau Park which was really upsetting - no Marshalls about to explain why or how to get one but tbh getting one after the event was not ideal… After completing 5.7 miles I wanted to celebrate and show off medal but that didn’t happen. At handover station, medals were given out it appeared to anyone with a number… 😥 Not sure I would sign up again…
