Loved this race - not done for a couple of years but really enjoyed. It raises money for the Lido which is stunning and you can see where they have spent the money as the facilities are looking great since i last competed. Food and drink superb and was great to relax after in the sun.

Good that for pool based swim the slower competitors go first so that everyone is competing at same time rather than the speedsters having nearly finsihed before you start. 

Great bike course - flat to bungay and the infamous chicken roundabout, over the bridges and then the rollercoaster road back to beccles - build up the speed down the hills to get back up the other side. Even some mechnical issues with my bike and a stomp up the final hill stuck in a high gear couldnt dampen my enthusiasm.

Off-road run to finish out and back along the river - picturesque and challenging course and a little longer at best part of 7k. Lovely finish back through town and great medals and tees. Loved the black and blue colouring and keeping my swim hat too!

Highly recommended and pool based swim makes it excellent for first timers or nervous swimmers.

nice little event.  Awesome bike lap (as it follows the Bungay Black Dog marathon route)  nice run route along by the river. Good medal in 2017. The only downside is the pool.  Blue lining, blue lane ropes.  Blue pool floor. Everything is blue. It's like swimming round inside a big blue carrier bag.  

Other than that. Great event.
