This event has everything you'd expect and more. Great communication, excellent facilities, signage, food stops and support. There was a great vibe across the coarse and we really enjoyed it!

A nice route picking up the major local hills, but a couple of sections on busy main roads. Possibly due to the constant rain, but those sections felt less appropriate for the event. Not always easy to avoid some of these linking roads though, so overall a good route. Shame ab...

4th time back for Beast to the East. I *never* ride in the rain. It rained. And was windy. It was still as enjoyable as ever, which I think goes a long way to say that - this year - the feed stations, cleanliness, food on offer and overall friendlies of the staff was what made the difference and kept it fun and kept the cyclists going. The route is rock solid. See you next year in the sun and 25+degC(!!)
