What a superb race. Second year of running it, a slightly different route but just as good and parking was easier. I highly recommend this event and Limitless Trails are just superb. Much thanks!

Considering the logistical challenge of moving the race at short notice Ellen and her Team did an amazing job. As it turned out the HQ was great loads of parking and faff free registration with a really friendly team. Route was also good with some beautiful views. Main criticism of the whole event was that there was some confusion with the signage around Table Mountain in the grand scheme of things not a big issue but frustrating at the time!! Aid stations were well stocked with friendly and helpful marshalls. A big shout out to whoever made the cakes the fruit tea bread was 11/10 amazing!! If the race reverts to the originally planned route I’ll probably be back next year. Would definitely do other Limitless Events.

This was my first trail race and it exceeded expectations. Everything was really well organised, the team were friendly, and the aid stations were well stocked. The atmosphere was super supportive and the route had some amazing scenery. I’d definitely recommend Beast of the Black...

First ultra event it was a day I shall never forget- Ellen was very responsive prior to event and the energy and atmosphere from the team all day was outstanding- i loved the bells ringing as you came to the finish line ... hearing those bells one of the best sounds i have heard hehe . Oh my was tough ..those hills and elevation. We were so lucky with the weather and to be in such stunning scenery. Thank you.

Great support, really good food /fuel particularly at the end! Nice to have an out and back route as it makes supporting participants easier logistic wise! The bell to run every participant in makes such a difference - a lovely way to finish!! All of the team were helpful , friendly and the general vibes and energy made it an uplifting inspiring event and day! We were so lucky to have witnessed and enjoyed the mountain views with blue skies and sunshine! Life is about these moments...sign up, commit, train and tame the beast of the blacks !
