Excellently run event, marshals were amazing and supportive. I do wish that paper or some form of biodegradable cups were used at the water stations - was a huge shame to see lots of plastic cups discarded on the side of the course.

Towards the end I followed a group of runners the wrong way, so added a bit to my time. Delighted to finish second female in my age category. Tough finish up the hill but seeing my sons’ faces at the finish line propelled me on. Hearing my Welsh name pronounced perfectly as I ran over the line meant loads too and I wish more of the announcements were in Welsh cause hearing our language in my Tadcu and Anti May’s village fills my heart. Loved the medal! Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Second time to run this race and we’ll definitely be back again. The hills are a killer, but all part of the fun! Beautiful views, fantastic marshals, and a gorgeous medal 🥇 🥇🥇

I ran the 15 mile course and it was the first time I'd ever entered the Beast of Bryn. I ran it with my husband and for the most part we enjoyed. The hills were tough, especially the last one which seemed to go on forever! The emails with info leading up to the event were not the best, there were no links that worked and the map of the route didn't work either. On the day I would have liked to have seen some medics at some point around the course as there were none at all. If you injured yourself along the way there was nobody there at all to assist with any medical support you may have needed. I found this odd for such a long event, it's no good having them at the start or end, you need them at various points along the way. Also something other than just water at the end would have been great, a sports drink perhaps? Very quick queue for registration and no queues for the toilets were a big plus, better than other events there.

I would like to see paper cups used at the water station and the mention to runners not to throw on the ground, we're not at the London marathon, its not fair on the volunteers. Apart from that, loved and will be back!

Tough over long gravel roads especially with tired legs towards the end. Rain, mud, puddles also in the mix and some very tight slippery stone footpath sections. Thank you for a great event. Will defo do it again fir a PB!

The hill climb was truly hideous but its a trail race so that's what you expect . Such beautiful countryside. Everyone so helpful. Long way to travel from Leicestershire but well worth it

A review of two halves. The event on the day was spectacular, the route beautiful (if tough - but we knew that), the local marshals were brilliant, good first aid support, great medal. The organising company less so - website is a shambles, incorrect GPX (despite being told about it), event emails with links that did not work, event distances publicised that did not happen, none of which inspired confidence. Would definitely do the event again but not sure I trust the organising company.

Great event. Really good value for money. Ran the 15miler which had everything a trail run can offer along with some brilliant climbs. Aid stations were well equipped to keep you going. Also a top quality medal to go with it. Highly recommend.
