My friend and I both entered this race.  The race HQ is at the Local Rugby Club, which is a lovely facility.  At the venue, there was free parking, bag drop, toilets etc.

The run starts and finishes on the grass playing field, otherwise, it is run on local roads and pavements. There is a slight slope for the first few kilometres and then a little more of a slope for the next kilometre or so. After that its pretty much flat / downhill all the way.

There is a water stop at the halfway mark and marshals were encouraging. Eventually, you enter the rugby clubs grounds and run around the perimeter of the field to the finish.

Unfortunately there as not a medal, which is a shame as I always like a one for the collection. Instead, you were given a buff.  The race is chip timed and costs only 12 pounds to enter, so not bad value really.

I probably would do it again, although it was not as flat as I first thought. I would do it again as a general race for fun but not looking for a PB.

Bearbrook 10k Wendover. A new 10k pb but a difficult race. Never again.

Probably the hardest race I've ever done. 24 degrees and no shade. The first 3 miles are gradual uphill and sap your energy and legs. The next mile is proper uphill and kills you off. There is finally some respite for the last few miles of downhill but then there is the sting in the tail of the circuit on rough grass of the rugby club field before the finish. Brutal is all I can say. Oh! I forgot to mention the rubbish ie. none existent goody bag! Also NO MEDAL and all you were handed was a bottle of water and a granola bar at the end!. How hard is it to get some medals made.

its a mostly for course going through the villages of Weston Turville, Wendover & Halton.

The Halton section has some uphill but it’s not horrendous & there’s downhill afterwards going back toward Some Weston Turville so it balances out

well organised, really affordable at about £12 but no medal at the end, it was a buff instead so I guess you’re getting what you pay for there.

Registration was done online with number collection on the day £13, u could pay on the day as well, race started at the rugby club so plenty of  free parking in the field beside, bag drop and toilets in the rugby club, race started 9:30 around the local roads, roads weren’t closed but was plenty of Marshall’s on hand to keep u safe, 1 water stop at halfway with water in bottles, first 4K slightly uphill with next 2k a bit harder then downhill back to the rugby club with a lap around the grass pitch to finish, chip timed, bottle of water and a snood for the goody bag no medal, would do this race again

A mostly flat course with a slow drag up half way; so maybe PB potential...

Very popular with all the local running clubs.

Free parking and indoor registration / number collection.

Toilets and changing facilities on site.

Finishers get a mug! Which I am a fan of, beats a medal! Although there is split opinions with this. (It is a boring mug!!)

Will do again next year

Nice race starting and finishing at a rugby club meaning the facilities were decent. The course went out through local roads which although not fully closed were very well marshalled so always felt very safe.

The course itself had a few inclines but nothing too tough, and then from just after the halfway mark it was either downhill or flat with a final run round the field back at the rugby club where the supporters have you a final boost.

Enjoyed it. Would definitely do it again in future.
