Organisation and safety need to improve a lot. I did have fun with the obstacles and the race itself, but absolute mess in terms of organization in general. Also, not very safe for a lot of people.

This was my first obstacle race, although I have competed in several races before. For a first, i really enjoyed it for the most part. I competed and won the 8k kids competitive. Got a gold medal and took a picture with someone. However, on the website I wasn’t marked as number one. It added an extra hour to my time. This was very poorly managed, I have proof of winning and yet my score didn’t show up as such. That was such a disappointment.

It was a fantastic event, have already booked for next year! The course was challenging, those sand dunes are no joke. Good amount of range of obstacles with a good mix or fun/rig and strength based. My only grumble would be that we only registered 12k on a 16k course? Still not entirely sure if we ended up taking a wrong turn somehow. Overall, one of the best I've done this year and highly recommend making the journey north. Well done!
