I have done this race twice now. First year was a flop. Last year was good for me. Hoping this year is better. Not a world beater but would like to better my 39.03 last year. Excellent course, friendly atmosphere. Unusual distance worth the try if you haven't already done it. It's a real Bash.

This was a lovely small-scale local race, with a field of approximately 200 runners. Very friendly, very well organised - online registration simple (and cheap!), race HQ at a local leisure centre so plenty of parking and facilities. A fast, flat course with a short loop around the village, then out into lovely countryside, then back into the village. No hills. A finisher's mug instead of a medal, which I was very pleased with - and a cup of tea and slice of cake to try it out with afterwards! Ran for the first time this year, would definitely recommend to others and am highly likely to come back to run it again next year.

This was one I did for fun, and took it easy - enjoying the countryside on the way around. It's quite a flat race too so in the right conditions could be brilliant for a 5 mile PB.

The support in the village is great, and there being delicious cake at the end was a fantastic idea!

Hi, i ran the 2015 Bassingham Bash Road Race. Ive ran lots of running events but this was my 1st 5 miler. To start with the location great, very family friendly with lots going on. Race registration was organised and smooth with all questions regarding baggage and race info answered. The race itself was great, lovely scenic route and marshalls at all points needed. I especially liked the finish, great finish line run up with lots of support for a tiring runner to drag out a sprint finish! Post race was equally rewarding with much needed drinks and cake!! The race momento was a printed mug, that was a nice touch, made a nice change from a generic medal that is usually on offer from a smaller race. Overall this was an enjoyable and well organised race at a very cheap price. Would certainly recommend it and will be running it this year!!
