This was my second time participating in this race and the sun and humidity really tested my limits. I wish the race took place a half and hour to an hour earlier just so that it wasn't such an issue. In years past, it has been overcast and fine, but with a race this long in summer, I think the safer option is to just start earlier because the odds of sun are so likely. Overall I would still participate in this race again. I especially LOVED the shirt this year compared to the years past. Also, I loved how many photographers were out there this year, however the giant balboa park logo when going to download covered a majority of my body in some photos to where I was just a floating head. I wish there was a way to get rid of it before download or have an option with and without the watermark. Vertical pictures weren't that big a deal but the horizontal ones are just awful and it's a shame because I love seeing myself run through the park with the monuments behind me but I can't even see my body.

I would prefer stricter enforcement of the pace waves. Wave 1 had a lot of 11-12 min/mile runners in it which was frustrating at the start of the race. A few more bathrooms at the start wouldn't hurt and it might be nice to start the race at 6 or 6:30am.

Such an easy race in terms of logistics! Great route, easy to follow as well. I only wish that the hours for bib pick up were extended at least another hour as that improves accessibility for individuals who work late/can’t leave work early. Not everyone can get off early to beat...

The medal and bid both seem to be AI generated images. There are so many amazing artist in San Diego that could have designed these. The fact AI was used for this event was extremely disappointing.
