Shortened run lap was a bit dizzying, but necessitated but the atrocious pre event weather conditions 🤷. The delayed start also aided the bike course to drain fairly well, certainly it was a lot better than when I drove it at 08:00 on race morning! Massive cudos on getting the event underway, thankfully the rain abated for most of the event which helped enormously, for what it's worth I enjoyed it despite the weather and the comprehensive equipment clean up needed post event. If you could arrange better weather for next year it'd help, either that or move the date back a little....

I had a great race at Ashridge, what a fab setting and when the sun came out the house/castle was a super backdrop :) When we arrived for the race the rain had flooded the roads and the organisers took the time for additional course inspections and delayed the start to make sure we could all race safely. Once the race started (only an hour delayed) I knew the conditions had improved and that everything had been done to keep us safe! They had even put extra marshals on course to direct us - thank you!!! I have raced this course a couple of times and will definitely be coming back again.

Very well run event, loads of marshalls, ran like clockwork, especially given the challenges with the weather. Would have been nice to have a few more immediate recovery treats after the race, rather than the free samples that are more for use in the days after. Car parking was also a little tight, but limited by the venue, and very well located relative to the start. Great atmosphere, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

My first Duathlon and very impressed. Really friendly welcome, very well organised, good signage, lots of support and marshalls. Would definitely recommend this one. Won some nic prizes in a draw. Also a nice cafe in Ashridge for afterwards!

Despite heavy rain the night before and some flooded sections of the bike course, this event went ahead and was a great success. ATW wisely delayed the start to allow the race to go ahead safely. I've done this event many times and will continue to keep coming back!

Superb race as ever. A huge achievement to run it in challenging weather conditions. The Marshalls were all superstars. Only comment is some nutrition at the end would be nice but it’s a small point.
