Really well organised event with a great friendly atmosphere and good marshalls Nice mainly flat course (shame about the wind today) but start was a little congested until you got on Borough Rd Also there was no finish arch so when you turned the last corner you weren’t sure how far you still had to go Good medal and decent goody bag at end however The main issue for me, and all of the others in the long queues, the toilets were totally inadequate and there was even a lot less than this event last year, where as well as portaloos there was gents urinals also.

Great event, well organised, and love the Riverside finish however the hill over the bridge at the end is unnecessary. For a flat fast 5k the route could instead include a lap round the Riverside, might just shave off a few more seconds off for those chasing a PB!

I love this event, this was my first official 5k event so remains close to my heart, plus I’m a Boro fan so running into the stadium is the best.

No parking issues, we use the cinema parking area then it’s a 5 min walk to the ground.

lots of different abilities take part; there’s a lovely 2k event to follow in which younger runners take part

goodie bags are excellent value.  Lovely medal and T-shirt

Two downsides: this year we had to collect our number in advance, okay if you live in the area but if traveling from outside the local area to pick a number up; that’s not good.   We would happily pay an additional £1 postage with all numbers to the same address posted together.

secondly the warm up used to be on a stage outside the football stadium, ideal view to see the instructor.  Now it’s impossible to observe what you should be doing as hard to hear and moved from stage setting to where?

Very well organised, great support from inside the stadium.  Good pre-race event info provided.

Numbers sent out via post with pre race instructions. Race was to start outside Middlesbroughs football stadium and there was be a 5k and afterwards a 2k family fun run. Postcode entered and travelled there with no problems. Me and the fiance arrived at the stadium and were directed to the car park where there was more than enough room. It's was a hot one! Sun cream on and waited for the start. Bumped into a friend who was also running..then there was a warm up with a local PT instructor.

The route was on closed roads and well mapped out. Being a 5k it was over pretty quick and it was quite cool finishing inside the stadium. Goody bag with medal, t shirt And few little gifts given out at the end for everyone and pleased to see the green theme continuing into 2018.

My 12th medal of the year so far and I would highly recommend this one. A bargain price and most of the money goes to charity. Close to home for us so a bonus all round

Marshalls were very friendly and safety was always considered..this us one I will return to do!

Got told about this run alot by my running pals and decided to give it a go for the 1st time.

Firstly if you are a Boro fan than it is a must for you as it is set around the football ground.

Signing up online was easy and number was delivered in the post.

Arrived before the roads were closed and parked right next to the startline.

Many local running groups have large groups of runners attending this run but the entry is very mixed from paralympic runners to c25k runners.

As there is a 5k run and a 2k fun run after, there is alot of local support from families.

Many local landmarks can be seen on the route and both runs end inside the Middlesbrough Football Stadium.

After the 5k, the 2k starts about 30 minutes later and you can run both.

Same medal and t-shirt for both races though.

A great event for any local or visitor.
