Ran this event to support a good cause. It was a 1 lap of the course with nice views around the park. My little boy loves the design of the medal! Might do it again if it fitted with my schedule. Downside there isn't much support out on the course....

Croxeth Park is a great place to run and this was a really good little event. The sign up was easy and race packs were posted out in advance so no hassle of collection on race day. Plenty of parking on site with the cost going to Alder Hey. The course loops around the car park and to the far end of the park before coming back and going around the woodland trails before finishing outside the hall. The were a couple of points especially near the car park that were quite tight so you had to keep your eyes peeled for pot holes and people running towards you. Great medal and tech t-shirt, designed by the kids at the hospital I believe, on finishing. Enjoyable run and worth a visit.

A nice, flat and scenic course but a little narrow at the beginning and a little muddy at the end. There were a few "out and back" sections in the first half of the course, making passing difficult. That said, this was for a great cause and the morning was very enjoyable. Marshal supervision was excellent, not just around the course but elsewhere on the park estate at key entry and exit points. Lots of local support as well, particularly at the finish. All the admin boxes were ticked - bag drop, toilets, detailed briefing instructions etc. Food stations limited to water only which is fine for a 10k. Nice t-shirt and medal. Will probably do this again next year, but will hope for better weather and will aim to start nearer the front of the funnel!
