This will be the sixth year of the Alcester 10km road race, starting and finishing in the beautiful town of Alcester. Last year the race filled up weeks before the day of the race, so make sure you sign up early!
This year you will run through Great Alne, Walcote and Haselor before back into Alcester and once again the roads will be closed. The race starts on Alcester High Street and takes you out onto the stunning country lanes of Warwickshire for a single loop, with two drinks stations along the way and a third offering some cheeky Hogans cider as you descend back into town. The race is ran under UKA guidelines with chip timing for all When you finish the race, take some time to enjoy a Erdinger Alcohol free lager courtesy of the Turks Head pub and admire your medal and technical t shirt then finish your day with a lovely hot drink and a cake in one of the many cafes or even a sneeky pint in the Turks Head. The free Kids Fun Run will start after the main race at 11.40am and will be held in Alcester High Street, all children receive a medal too and its a great day out for all the family. The 10km starts at 10:00am

I love this event, great atmosphere. The marshals are amazing and the finishline has so many people chearing and clapping. There is also a kids fun run. I'll be back for the 2020 race!
