Great event, well organised and good atmosphere. Nice route and streets closed is something that we all appreciate.

Flat and fast 10km, Traffic free. Very busy 10km, but the start in waves and the traffic free roads help people to spread out. In the Race pack one receives a Top to wear in the event with number printed on top.  This is not ideal since the sizes are huge (and I had an XS) and also one generally prefers to wear her/his own top. Lots of portaloos, changing faciltiy is a tend with muddy floor (a rug would have helped not to ge totally muddy). Water station at 5km, and porta loos. Distance marks at 3,5,7 qnd 9km. All together a fun event.

Great race in a fantastic environment. I enjoyed a lot the opportunity to run in Fulham (my borough) through the closed streets. It was a really good experience. The only think I didn't like at all, was the water station, there was just one in 5th kilometre and it was placed just on one side of the road, as I was running on the other side and with so many people running, I had to miss that water station, therefore I didn't drink a drop of water during the whole race, poor.

This was my 3rd Adidas City Run this year and was by far the best and biggest. The registration process was nice and simple online, although I did get the wrong shirt through at first but it was easily resolved. The race village was well organised with plenty of loo's, bag drop and changing rooms. The run route itself was pretty uneventful, a nice flatish route around Fulham but was very well supported by the locals. The highlight for me being a quick lap around Stamford Bridge. Afterwards you get the usual drink, snack, medal and a chance to have a quick yoga session for your warm down although that looked very busy. The bag pick up was the one sticking point for me, took absolutely ages to get me bag. Luckily it wasn't to cold or raining otherwise I would have had the hump!! As for value for money, £40.00 is a lot for a 10K but you do get free Adidas shirt and race photo's which make it quite a good deal in my opinion. If you haven't done a City Run before I'd recommend this one above the other 2 (Clapham & Shoreditch) that I have completed.

Pre-race information mentioned an email with which pen you would be in, however I never received mine and had to search the website for these details. The walk to the start was easy from the tube, and there were plenty of toilets and a bag drop to use. The start pens were a bit chaotic. I was in pen A, but pens A and B were allowed in together with nothing separating them. With a number of people waiting to go into pens C and D there was a crowd around the entrance to all the pens and I ended up more towards the back of my pen. This meant the start was quite frustrating, trying to pass people that had clearly overestimated their speed, or just gone into the wrong pen as there was nothing on the shirts (which doubled as your race number) to differentiate where you should be. It included passing a group about three abreast that were walking in the first mile. I have no problems with walkers, just maybe stay to the side! I agree with the other comments about the water station being split into both sides of the road, although there were volunteers on the non table side giving out as much as they could! The course was very flat and fast, and when it opened up you could get a decent pace going. It's all on road with a quick lap round the outside of Stamford Bridge. The crowd support was sporadic but in places there were some really enthusiastic people. There was no goody bag as such, but a decent medal (albeit with the original date on the ribbon) a cliff bar and some coconut water. There was also a virtual goody bag with free drinks and food offers at local pubs and restaurants. We popped to the Market Hall post race for a free beer. The bag drop was easy enough to collect bags from but queues did build up quickly. One other slight annonayce was the results don't appear on power of 10 due to the lack of a UKA license (according to power of 10 website). Overall I enjoyed the race but it is a pricey one for a 10k.
