Personally, the race was outstanding again this year. Parking and bib/timing chip pick up was quick and efficient. Course was easy to navigate - I could see the turnaround buoys the entire time, and I could always see the paddlers close by, even though I near the back of the pack...

I like this smaller event, the only wishlist is maybe more volunteer paddlers to keep a line, it’s a bit far to see the finish line at the angle. Can’t wait for next year!

It was the perfect day for Rattlesnake 7km. Thank you for the fantastic organization. One topic to consider for improvement is that everyone had to wait for the last swimmers to finish before awards were distributed. Which in this case seemed like a long time and was difficult to gauge how long we'd be waiting, so felt a little stuck and uncomfortable to leave for breakfast and come back. I understand the courtesy of waiting for the last swimmer to finish, but I feel like this was too much to ask from a lot of hungry people. Perhaps a time could be set for awards, and communicated. And those absent, whether they have left or are still in the water, would just receive their award at the registration desk.

Great event! Travelled in from out of province and felt well informed about wildfire situation. Amazing, friendly volunteers and participants. Beautiful location and clear, clean water. I look forward to planning another vacation around one of next year’s races!
