My 9th time running the half marathon and a great experience. Love the changes to the course that avoid the dual carriageway after Thurmaston village. So much support on the course, and a total wall of noise at the bottom on New Walk just when you need the final push. Only suggestion is that people should be encouraged to move down within the starting pens. I wasn't able to get into the pen until the race started, and runners from the pen behind had managed to get ahead so I did a lot of weaving and overtaking. But at least it forced me to not go off too quickly!

It was the first year for our charity, Edgar's Gift, being involved and it was a privilege to be part of such a wonderful event. We had a couple of people running for Edgar's Gift as well as a few friends and all expressed how brilliant an event it was. We were positioned in the charity village which was great to get the opportunity to meet the other fantastic charities as well as getting to spread our message to more people. All very well organised, and we are grateful for the opportunity. We hope to be back again next year. Thank you
