Well organised event. I can see now why it’s called the 9 Locks Challenge and not the 9 Locks 10k. It is of course 10k but it’s tougher than others I’ve done. Really enjoyed it. I may come back in November when it’s not so sunny. Oh, and watch out for the geese!

I have run both the winter and summer events and both are superbly well organised. It is a challenging run with the locks providing short but tough hills. Own advice to self - do more hill repeats in training! Thoroughly recommend

My first time running the 9 Locks Challenge and what an amazing race it was. Very scenic route on the canals and must admit was distracted by the beautiful views, it being a beautiful sunny day. Part of course involved running in the woods too so it was nice to have that change. The goody bag one of the best and parking was great - plenty of space in big car park. Am definitely coming back again- a thoroughly enjoyable and well organised event.
