I have run the Worcester 10k at least six times now and really enjoy it. The course is great and every time more and more people turn up to cheer the runners on. It is very crowded at the start but that's what happens with a successful event. One thing went badly wrong - the bad drop. We queued for an hour to get our bags which has never happened here before or at any other organised event I have taken part in. I hope this will be fixed for next year. One thing I hate is the amplified chatter before the event while we are queueing up to start - it is far too loud. Both the bag drop and the noise can be fixed.

I ran this half marathon last year having really enjoyed it and found it to be much better organised than 2026. Bag drop worked well last year being in a huge marquee but this time round it seemed disorganised. I totally understand there needs to be a level of security when leaving your bag so no-one can just randomly pick up another bag but having to wait in a queue for at least half an hour after having run 13 miles was awful! I ended up having to find the bag myself because the volunteer couldn’t locate it! One major problem I had during the run was a section over a bridge where the 10k and half routes met and then split in two different directions once crossing the bridge. I ended up going in the wrong direction following the 10k route and had to turn back, find a gap in the barriers and supporters to then be on the right path to continue the half marathon. This was so frustrating which prevented me from getting a better time. The organisers need to either keep the routes separate or have much better signage. If I got confused then several others must have been too.

The bag drop involved a very lone que at the end of the race and there didn't seem to be any structure to how the bags had been left so you were waiting a very long time for your bag to be found. Also I was very surprised that there were no prizes for age category wins. I'm sure there has been cash prizes previous years and I led at least 2 people (who won their age categories) to believe there would be a prize only for them to receive an entry into next years race

Great course with fantastic support, this is my home city and always enjoy running here on closed roads! Unfortunately far more dis-organised than previous years.....arriving from Pitchcroft side, the road was fenced off and no clear indication how to get to the start / runner area and then held up by the junior races (not there fault!) and missed the opportunity to have a look around and use the toilets as I had no time to get to the start. Toilet queue was too long, plenty of toilets but one massive queue! Start area was very overcrowded and not suitable for the level of participants and the funneled start was very overcrowded, please consider not fencing off the road and letting runners move around the start area as per previous years

This years event was no where near as good as previous years, starting with bag drop which was awful, we queued for ages to drop off our bags & then found it difficult to get to the toilet area as everything was fenced off, making access very tricky. After eventually getting to use the toilets, it was then tricky to find the way to the start, again, due to the excessive use of metal fencing. I understand that when we did start a lot of people weren't even on the route as we couldn't queue on the road. When the run got underway, the route had changed and was very windy, with sharp turns and far more undulating than before. During the run the distance markers were in the wrong place, they were a full half km out! Having finished the run we received our medal & t-shirt, both great, then fought through the crowds to get to the bag drop, where we waited 50 mins to get our bag back, while getting cold, stood in pouring rain! The whole event needs a re-think!

First ever half marathon! The support for the first 2/3 of the race was good with people cheering us on in the rain by the time we got to the river this had massively dwindled. Through the city centre bits there were people crossing through whilst running and had to dodge them a lot. Massive queues for the toilets before the start and a hefty delay at the start too. I couldn’t use the event village when I finished as they’d all packed up! There was a lovely Marshall at the end who checked in on me as I got very overwhelmed and he stayed with me until I collected myself.

My only gripe was the course distance markers were rather different to my watch which caused me some confusion! Other than that could not fault one thing, especially the fancy medal and goodies, a big thank you to all the people involved with the event. See you next year!

Always a great course to run. Definitely more disorganised than in previous years - barriers at the start line prevented participants from getting to the start - lack of signage made it difficult to know where to go to get to the start - start was delayed by quite a bit of time (due to this?) - course layout was confusing, especially on feedback from the halve-milers - random drink stations appeared that may or may not have been official - really poor kit bag organisation meant there was a huge queue to collect baggage, at the end Overall, disappointing, but I will still compete again

I liked the course. The pre-event communication was good. On the day, bag drop was poor, insufficient toilets, especially for the ladies in the party. Bag pick up was very poor. Start rather crowded. Overall it's a good event, the course is good. Signage at the end was confusing as the 10k signs were also visible on the half marathon course and not clearly identified as for the 10k race. Overall, I would condsider running the half again. The bag drop and pick up requires improvement and the crowding at the start needs to be improved.
