Very well organised event. Also, a good opportunity to swim around on the previous day. That helped my confidence. The goodies are the end were good. Very nice medal and even better changing mat. Sweets were good but the key holder was kind of useless, not even swimming related...

Very well organised event. Also, a good opportunity to swim around on the previous day. That helped my confidence. The goodies are the end were good. Very nice medal and even better changing mat. Sweets were good but the key holder was kind of useless, not even swimming related. I didn't see any water bottles though, I would appreciate it at the end. Water was choppy at the end and it made me sick the last 700m. I managed somehow. Signing in for next year. Hopefully better weather

First time at Dock2Dock and had a brilliant experience! The atmosphere was brilliant and everything was very clear and straightforwards. Loved the group warm-up and the briefing was helpful for calming nerves. Massively appreciated the 5k course was just one loop! The start was challenging with a mix of swimmers at different paces getting in, but once the packs had stretched out, it was a calm and steady swim (despite quite a lot of wind!). Would really recommend Dock2Dock and I'm excited to return for the 10k next year!!

Dock2Dock 5km was a great swimming event. The swim itself was enjoyable as there seemed to be plenty of space to swim (5km rolling start) and I saw kayakers throughout so felt safe in the water. The simple course route made navigation easy, but also the it was well laid out with buoys. There was plenty of information prior to the event and the staff/volunteers really friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I have is a perhaps more changing space away from the public and more coffee stalls! Other than that it was a great event and would recommend to anyone wanting a challenge.

Five stars from me! This was my first Dock2Dock and I was definitely a little apprehensive beforehand, but everything about the event was so well handled that I felt completely at ease. There was loads of safety cover throughout, so even when the water got choppy as anything because of the wind, I never felt worried. The atmosphere in the event village was brilliant, and I really enjoyed the pre-event swim too - it was a great way to get a feel for the water and settle some of those pre-swim nerves! The feed stations were fantastic, and a special shout-out to the people running them - they were so encouraging and welcoming. The swim course was really well buoyed out too, which made it easy to know where I was going. I absolutely loved the whole experience and will definitely be back next year to push myself again. Can’t wait to see the photos! 🏊‍♀️💙

2nd time doing D2D and loved every minute. Big thanks to the organisers, volunteers and especially the water safety team for a cracking event. Pre-race information and webinars were brilliant as well as the support from Catch. I originally signed up for 10K but during training I realised that I wouldn’t make the cut off. So I dropped down to 5K. A 7K or 8K option would be great as a stretch and a gateway to 10-15K. Great event and cannot wait to be back next year.

There were so many highlights of the 2026 edition of D2D! The water safety team was clearly very experienced, which instilled so much confidence in everyone in the water. The goodies at the end were such a treat, and the informative webinars and social media posts were greatly appreciated. I'd love to come back next year. However, due to the cut-off time, I don't think I'll be able to jump from 5 km to 10 km, but I would absolutely sign up for a 7 km D2D swim! Please add a 7 km option! I would also like to make a few additional requests: could the aid stations have some music next year? Additionally, the atmosphere on land would have benefited from a roaming band, just like in previous years. The music really brought everyone together, which was beautiful to see. Shout-out to the maintenance team for keeping the toilets in almost impeccable condition. I'd also love to see period products in the loos next year! Overall, in my view, this was a highly successful event.

I was so impressed with this event and how it has evolved since I first did it nearly ten years ago. Communication before and after the event was great. The start and finish location was perfect for transport, parking and supporters. I really liked the event village and facilities available to participants and supporters. The swim is great fun and a really interesting location. All staff and volunteers I encountered were fantastic, supportive and welcoming. I’ve come away already keen do do it again next year.
