My first ultra was this Race to the King 50k Coastal. Great course, Marshalls were encouraging and the aid stations had great food! Lovely medal at the end. A free beer at the finish line would have been a great bonus though. Have already booked for the 50k Castle route next year...

great communication, event planning, course support.............you have done an amazing job guys. well done. Sadly, the medal was poorly and no goodie bag to take home. Also, there was a Tenzing tent and they were sponsors, but where were the Tenzing products???????

Very friendly staff everywhere. very well organised. Great medal. I also bought the tee shirt as it was really great quality and design. BUT..... the car park at West Dean Gardens was a field that had not been cut for months and grass was 2ft high! Worse, on the Castle route, the return to West Dean finish was down a very steep hill again where the grass had not be cut at all. Add in the flat section around the river Arun which also had long grass and required careful walking so as not to twist an ankle and brambles and nettles on the narrow paths of the return section which meant it was not conducive to safe running. Threshold Series should do more to ensure the route is clear before the race day and move back to Goodwood and dump West Dean Gardens!

I had the most amazing race from start to finish. I did the castle route which was amazing. I am planning to do it all over again in 2026. It was great that thresholds catered for the runners by adding the extra water stations. That was 💯 key for me as I would have struggled...

I had the most amazing race from start to finish. I did the castle route which was amazing. I am planning to do it all over again in 2026. It was great that thresholds catered for the runners by adding the extra water stations. That was 💯 key for me as I would have struggled with no water and still 8k to get to the next pitstop. You really do cater for every eventually. Thank you for being the best hosts. Others try and fail miserably

Excellent sign posts, extremely helpful staff, everything was well thought through and all needs catered for. Really appreciated help at aid stations and cheers and the extra aid stations!! Loved the atmosphere.

OMG!! What an event and what organization! The staff/volunteers were amazing so caring and looked out for everyone and ensured everyone was well fuelled. The route was beautiful but a killer at the end with the hills 🤪😂. What a lovely dinner at the end which was much needed.

Absolutely incredible event on Saturday. Crazy heat, but well placed extra water stations. Staff throughout the event were fantastic, especially appreciated the legend at pit stop 3 who was spraying anyone who wanted with a mist bottle. Thank you.
