Great event. A bit hard to find the event HQ in the dark, but otherwise great. And lovely warm water!!

I started my Henley journey in 2018 with the swim festival and continued into 2019 with the Marathon and club to pub…..then covid hit in the way and it’s tak me until Now to complete the series. And it was worth the wait. From getting prepared and walking to the start on the awl...

I started my Henley journey in 2018 with the swim festival and continued into 2019 with the Marathon and club to pub…..then covid hit in the way and it’s tak me until Now to complete the series. And it was worth the wait. From getting prepared and walking to the start on the awly morning dawn to finishing before the rest of Henleyn is even stirring. Great company, great organization, great communication. Will be back next year for sure

My first Henley Swim event, the setting and timing was amazing (Regatta course / 4am) - the staff, and safety staff wonderful, atmosphere ready good… The water was great, tough course as there was a bit of a flow/tide… The start was a little erratic ( I think we were behind time) and the directions to the event ( half way along the course) was very poor as arriving at 2:30 it was quite dark - quite a few of us walked towards the festival tents. That said - I loved it - and am up to do the Henley Marathon in August.

Great event and beautiful course. The view of Henley church in the dawn light is amazing. I wish we went back to set wave times. It would eliminate the chaos of everyone jumping in in any order just to get a good time. Better signage for the walk to the start would eliminate unne...

Great event and beautiful course. The view of Henley church in the dawn light is amazing. I wish we went back to set wave times. It would eliminate the chaos of everyone jumping in in any order just to get a good time. Better signage for the walk to the start would eliminate unnecessary interactions with unhelpful regatta security staff. Whilst they were obviously in the daylight they couldn’t be seen at 2:30am. Consider glow sticks a battery powered light or at least briefing the guard on the first gate for the crucial first turn! Otherwise a fantastic event that I’m so glad was able to come back. Love my 5 times T-shirt.

I love this event and have completed it several times. The atmosphere is amazing and the safety cover excellent. This year however I did not like the rolling mass start, smaller groups that line up for their own ‘gun’ by estimated swim speed are much better, even for fun swimmers...

I love this event and have completed it several times. The atmosphere is amazing and the safety cover excellent. This year however I did not like the rolling mass start, smaller groups that line up for their own ‘gun’ by estimated swim speed are much better, even for fun swimmers. It was chaos with mixed strokes/ speeds all piling in together. Appreciate this was the first year in a new event HQ location so assume availability of loos will be addressed…

I've completed the Henley Classic Swim seven times now, and it's still one of my favourite open water events. Swimming at sunrise on such an iconic stretch of the Thames is a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely be back.

It was my 7th event, I love the Henley Classic Swim. However this year the organisation was quite disappointing and flacky. The base camp location changed creating issues with parking and easy reach of facilities. The starting was confusing, everyone in the water at the same time instead of having proper wave start, I didn't realise it and lost precious time in acclimatising and waiting for a proper organised start, instead of starting swimming. The chip's lace was a piece of paper, it opened and I lost my chip in the water. The timing were not available for a long period of time and the prizes were googles to the first of each categories instead of the traditional medals we all loved. I doubt I will sign up again and make my way to Henley so early at night if the organisation is not up to the price we paid. I understand it was a particularly sad year for Henley Classic Swim but I hope you can honour your co-founders by making a better effort.
