I just completed Maldon triathlon, it was my first one and I was so nervous but everyone was so helpful on the day. The routes were well signed and also I noticed people on bikes/ motorcycles on the route to check everyone was ok. Thank you to everyone helping

Swim was chaotic ! Too many stating a one time for an out & back course. ! Confusion at turn bout ! Told to turn at two yellow bouys , but clearly many simply went around first & then straight back, a much shorter option. Last part of run course awful, uneven grass & a steep ban...

Whilst I recover from spine surgery I’m spoilt for choice with ATW for Aquabike events to enter. The swim in the river Blackwater is tidal so always a bit of a challenge in one direction but usually has a nice current assistance in the other. The buoyancy of the salt water is always welcome too! The bike was on quiet roads and pretty flat. Whilst there were some potholes they had been well marked by the events team and actually the road surface was pretty good quality. There appeared to be a well stocked aid station which I didn’t need to use. Lots of marshalls, good signage of the route and a great finish area. Lots of participants as there were other races being held on the same day. As is standard with ATW I cannot fault the organisation or the safety team. And some great free race photos too! Another great race. Thanks team!!

A popular venue for the general public so lots of issues with traffic leaving/ entering the park and congestion on the bike route. Some parts of the run course too uneven and narrow in places which made it difficult to pass or be passed. Some of the Marshalls were inexperienced and one appeared to wave me onto oncoming traffic. A scary moment. A big thanks to all those who were marshalling and volunteering.
