Loved every moment of this event! The atmosphere was great! Just a few extra signs on the bike course would help for next year, in particular on the roundabouts but this is a minor detail. I really enjoyed the event overall!

Great venue for Margam duathlon Run course was great with directions and plenty of marshals guiding you through the run with great views on top of Margam mountain. Bike leg was good signs were good traffic management was great it would be good to have a few Marshalls on key points on bike course especially on the roundabout on the way to Porthcawl . The second part of the run was a nice steady loop with plenty of marshals and overall event was organised very good with great snacks at the finish good medal and a bonus t shirt.

Fantastic event, the course is challenging and great fun with really great support from all the volunteers. Well sign posted and great facilities, really enjoyed it. Thanks to the organisers, would definitely do it again!

Brilliantly run event and huge fun. Loved my 2nd ever Duathlon. The course organisers were brilliant as were all the helpers, especially in the transition area. Only worry I had was a bit of a lack of signage out on the bike route, I wasn't totally sure I was going the right way and no sign of any marshalla at roundabouts (which there were st the 1st and I did and which gave me confidence. ) Also, there was no information on the back of my number and if anything happened no one would know who I was, especially as we're not allowed to carry a mobile phone either. 😔. I was also a little unsure on run 2 as it transpired it was the reverse of Run 1 which I don't think was noted anywhere. Thus meant there were no arrows except the backs of the outgoing obes in places. The course looks totally different the opposite way round. I was very relieved to hear the tanoy way off in the distance 😊

I am answering on behalf of my 16 year old son, Evan, who raced in the Sprint event. Evan's feedback was very positive, communication was great, good coarse, very well organised and a very friendly and supportive marshals and support team. The only addition Evan said would help would be larger signage or additional marshal at key turning points on the coarse, he thinks this will help athletes who do not live local and know the area, although planning and preparation by the athlete should include studying the coarse. Thank you, great event and look forward to next year.

Pre race- Simple registration process. Easy to navigate and find bearings etc Morning of - straightforward to get around with plenty of parking. Run 1- would advise walking the route only to get the direction and see the more technical parts first part is flat . The second part is more a hill climb which stretches out the race ( probably the key part to whole event if your pushing it) Bike-ideal for first timers flat and fairly fast wide roads. Minimal junctions to navigate . Due to the course and turn around points it’s also easy to work out your position to others . Only one slight climb to finish before retiring to T2 Transition- straightforward. Run 2. Straightforward. Loverly obvious loop to finish .flat and fast A good event for first timers as-well as more experienced racers fighting for a top 10 .
