Very well organised and very helpful staff from registration to on course marshals. As is with a lot of these events transition could be bigger ie a little more space between competitors..but thats being a little bit 'picky'..it is/was a tough day out but very enjoyable..thank y...

A big thank you to all the organisers and marshals, especially for staying out there in the wet weather conditions. The course was well marked, with marshals at key points. It was a challenging route especially for the Sprint cycle. More training on hills required for next time!!

Great event. I did have a van nearly crash into me as I came back to transition as that last part of the lane is very tight. Maybe some marshals or signs so vehicles take a bit more care. Very challenging route. Some people will love it some will hate it. I thought it was OK ...

A very challenging event, great course, very well marshalled. Swim was very simple, but when explained at the start became very confusing. Just had to be careful on your second lap not to swim into other swimmers as you were going out for lap 2 , bike course very well sign posted...

My first standard triathlon and the experience was great. I registered the night before which was quick and easy. Everything on race day was good. Navigation was excellent - only issues was on the run when you get to the top of the hill and there were 2 different routes and was a bit confusing. Really enjoyed the whole day. I did see lots of empty energy gel wrappers around the run course which was disappointing, I mean the organisers didn’t drop these and not sure what could be done but was a bit disappointing. Will hopefully be there again next year!

All the supporting staff and volunteers were incredibly friendly and helpful! Having to bike/run down several of the roads which are barely wide enough for a vehicle (meaning having to stop or squeeze past) was not ideal and not particularly the safest although the majority of cars were travelling at slow speeds. There were also large amounts of rubbish (empty gel packets etc.) I noticed on the roads during/after which could definitely be improved upon (maybe some designated rubbish areas or more of a crackdown on littering). The medal could have been a bit more personalized to each distance. Overall the event was really enjoyable and I would do it again.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes we are having a big crackdown on littering next year. We will no longer be giving out gels and if people bring their own they'll need to write their race numbers on them with a permanent marker (subject to spot-checks & disqualification for those who don't)
