Fantastic event and concept for next year’s event with bigger numbers the logistics of moving people will need a little more planning .Fortunately the organizers are just like the Swiss on punctuality. My only regret issue was I ate something that disagreed with me and didn’t complete the crossing which ultimately resulted in returning next year !

I could write an endless litany of things I loved about this race. I had done the 33.3 in Greece in 2024 and loved it though the salt and my tongue seemed to wage war with each other so I decided I’d like the freshwater batter. I don’t think I realized how very different the entire experience would be. And, it was vastly different, not only the beautiful lake water but the entire experience. Geneva consisted of 5 swims with slightly longer distances per swim. We had perfect weather - utterly stunning. Even the rain decided to hold off allowing the swim to be executed seamlessly. The group of people, many of whom had been to Greece, were a joy to see again. The warmth and comradery is simply unmatched. The food stations were well stocked and relatively easy to find. The word relatively is on me not on them. And the marathon swim was remarkably done. There again any difficulties were on me and not on the team. I frankly utterly adore the 33.3 team of organizers. They are people we should all be lucky to have gotten to know. Perhaps that’s the key point. The entire organization on a whole is not a massive impersonal endeavor. It’s a family. It starts from signup to the WhatsApp chats and training help and nutrition ideas and just lasts.

Ultraswim provide an outstanding service. The planning and commitment to providing a first class experience to swimmers of any standard, can’t be improved upon. The 1km markers set to guide us the 12.7km across the lake on day 3 were a brilliant innovation. The hotel and its staff were amazing. A simply perfect event.
