My first event with Big Bear and it wont be my last. A great venue with lots of friendly runners and organisers with well stocked aid stations. No complaints from me, it was great.

My third or fourth time completing this course with my dog (Canicross). Always so well catered for; friendly welcome from Paul and his band of merry volunteers, efficient check-in, clear signage throughout from arriving on site to following the course, lovely group of runners and walkers, supportive atmosphere, loved the Roald Dahl charity aspect too, brilliant chunky medal with options for additional badges too. Can heartily recommend Big Bear Events, whatever your pace or distance. Everyone is welcome!

Everything went like clockwork. Little things like having a tent over our left bags to keep our kit dry as well as us if we needed a shelter out of the rain made a difference. Only thing i could think of is it got pretty slippery in front of the aid station but not sure if you ca...

Everything went like clockwork. Little things like having a tent over our left bags to keep our kit dry as well as us if we needed a shelter out of the rain made a difference. Only thing i could think of is it got pretty slippery in front of the aid station but not sure if you can do much to improve that other than set up in the car park and make the course slightly longer

This is a great way for me to get in my long runs without going round my usual local route. Lovely supportive marshals and helpers, nice food, appreciate the badge at the end. Like that I can opt out of a medal.

Amazing course, beautiful trails, it was damp but the route was not hindered by any severe puddles and there was plenty of space for both runners and other members of the public to share. There was bottlenecking at the start but this is to be expected as the start was narrow and it eventually spread out when everyone averaged their pace. Aid station was very well stocked with sweet and savoury treats and a range of different drinks, it was eco-friendly as they are a cupless event, and well marshalled by friendly volunteers. I would recommend this event to anyone looking for a challenge or to meet new people!

First time at a Big Bear event and already booked my second one. Very well organised and lots of nice friendly support to help you along. You can do as many laps as you want with no pressure. This time I managed 5 hours and next time I will try for the whole 6. Even in January the course was not muddy and you could run it in road or trail shoes
