Lovely route along the River Aire and transpennine bridleway. Some minor issues with navigation. Little wooden medal.

Friendly laidback organisation and a delicious free Piglove beer at the finish line were brilliant! Only possible improvement would've been another water station, maybe at the turnaround point, a few other runners mentioned that as it was a pretty hot day

A wonderful event which was easily accessible from the city centre. Pig Love By The River is a great base for the event, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for runners pre and post race. Registration was slick. I'm a fan of the environmentally friendly wooden medal and prefer this plus a free beer over a metal medal any day. A couple of extra bits of course marking would have eliminated the need for any brief pauses and discussions with other runners but it was well marked on the whole. Event staff were all lovely. I'll be back!

Single lap course run almost exclusively along River Aire inLeeds. Course was mostly flat and on decent paths. Regular aid stations which had coke, water, sweets and banana. Runners were urged to bring their own bottles but on the day, there were paper cups at aid stations. Really well organised event, nice headquarters for registration at Piglove on the river pub, decent toilets, fantastic marshals, great aid stations and a finish line beer. The medal was made of wood so not ideal for me personally but that doesn't take away from what was a brilliant event. Thanks Adam & team for an awesome day.

The volunteers and event organizers at the event village and at each of the aid stations were excellent, providing great encouragement and perfect support. They were the outstanding feature. The 44km course was very scenic, marked perfectly on the way out and very well on the return route. If I was not racing I would have taken a few photos A mention to the other runners were fantastic sports supporting, each other throughout.

Lovely views the whole way! Leeds Liverpool canal, StAidans Nature reserve and Fairburn ings RSPBA. Weather great for a tan but could have been a tad cooler for a race..appreciate this is out of Great Owls hands so will have to pass on to weather gods! All very friendly. Great venue for start and finish. Ample fuel and fluid stops with an extra pop up one 1 mile from end which was well needed. Definately recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well organised, really friendly marshals and staff, beautiful course. A couple of points could have been a bit better signed but no real issues. Highly recommended.

Friendly and well organised. Personally I don't like wooden medals but I understand the reasons.

Plenty of information in the lead up to the event, nice warm welcome when picking up my bib number & before the start. The course meant the pack was a bit close for comfort until the end of the first km, but there was plenty of room to manoeuvre and signs directing you as you progressed further. Great signpost & words of encouragement at the halfway point. (There was a photographer there but the photos haven’t yet appeared on the website) While the slight uphill finish was less than desirable, the atmosphere was amazing. The medal was nice but the string felt slightly amateurish

Excellent event, really enjoyed it. Venue was superb, no traffic, route was very runnable, fairly quiet, nice mix of trail and tarmac paths with lots to see. Route was well marked, although a bit confusing in the odd place and you'd only see arrows at the last minute, but not an issue if you kept your eyes open. Turn point was a bit confusing - There wasnt a drink point there as expected, but a few people with bottles of water were further up the path (although they were helpful). All marshalls/ staff were great and did their best to make things run smoothly. The final few kilometres and finish were a bit confusing- I was being told my position by some people, but it wasnt clear because of the higher number of half marathon finishers. And on finishing I was asked by staff if I 'placed' but didnt actually know my position until a few days later when I saw the results. I don't think the medal was needed- it feels very cheap and was handed over like an afterthought. I'd have preferred a cheaper entry or some money going to charity. Tee shirts are nice though. Event was great overall and I'd definitely come back to run again.
