Brilliant low key, local Leeds race with the start and finish at Piglove. A tasty drink in the outdoors, great atmosphere and the wooden medals were the bee's knees!

Really enjoyed the event, thanks guys. Never been to the brewery before so really pleased to discover. Would have liked a couple more Marshalls on the 10k course, or the pink ribbon tape a bit larger and easier yo spot - when running alone it was often a bit tricky to see if you didn’t know the route. However, appreciate that this depends on volunteers availability! All in all a really fun and friendly weeknight race and recommend to anyone !

It was the first time doing Piglove. I entered the 10k but was allowed to drop to the 5k instead as I’m recovering from an injury this helped. Very easy to get the number and bag drop simple enough. Getting a beer at the end was good. I’ll definitely do this race again in the fu...

The event didn’t live up to my expectations and I’d love to see the event improve in some key areas. The start was a shambles. We started 14 mins late and for some reason 5k runners were set off after 10k runners. We’d caught the back markers before the first real pinch point on the green bridge. It would have made more sense to set the 5k off first. The first bridge was an obvious area likely to be a problem and it was. There should have been at least 1 marshal there. Results were also not adjusted for the 4 minute difference and so whilst positions are correct, times are wrong. For the high entry fee I’d at least expect chip timing. Sadly my first and last Great Owl event.

A low key event that I thoroughly enjoyed. No complaints at all and I knew it was an open public venue so expected other users on the route. Only point I would make is the start was delayed for 10minutes which worked out well as a large group of runners came through before the start from the route direction. They looked like a university organised event so maybe worth reaching out to local runners from the university / gyms to warn in advance of the event. Also, to site someone down the route [say 200m] so when the start begins only a few members of the public are within the first 100m before confirming a start is safe to go.
