The course was tough enough, but the heat and humidity made it even tougher. Just a couple of minors. The potaloos had no toilet rolls, had to get one from the one on the end. Although, advised to have gpx route, also told there was plenty of signage, but at one point a sign was a little misleading and I ended up doing an extra mile.

This might be the best organised event i have ever attended. It was a hot day after a hot week and preparation had clearly been taken to not only make sure the event was safe and supported, but also to still be as enjoyable as any other day. I have been to multiple UTMB events and am always surprised at how much better the aid stations are on an event like this rather than at the big named events. The aid stations were stocked with everything i needed, to include precision hydration gels and chews which is the fuel i use anyway so i was very happy to see this. By far the greatest addition to the aid stops was the ice box. Filling my hat and pack with ice to cool me down was so nice and made my day far more enjoyable. The route was marked impeccably and the option to choose a shorter route if you need it always seems a nice option to have. My only additions would be that it would be nice to have a more individualsied medal, i.e distance based rather than one for all. And that im a sucker for a wood fired pizza van at the event village but there wasnt one on this occasion. The second point being rather trivial. Overall this may be the best organised event i have been to. Nice work! Oh - one more thing - this course was like 90% trail which was so nice, some trail runs end up having 30-40% road. I enjoyed how much time we spent in the wilderness, particularly in shaded woodland away from the heat!

The course was perfectly marked, and had epic views along the way. The MC was amazing, building the atmosphere and hyping up the crowd pre-race. There were a few bottlenecks along the way but easy enough to pass people. Despite the hot weather , the team made great adaptions with an earlier start time, meaning I felt safe and able to enjoy it. It's my first maverick, but won't be my last! Highly recommended

Really well marked course, and really appreciated the organisers moving the start time forward by 1.5hours because of the high temperatures. There were 3 waves for the race start - my only complaint is that all 3 waves were ready to start at 7:30........why couldn't the first wave be let go a few minutes early (especially as it was so hot) as there were still 2 waves to follow. So long as the last wave started at 07:30 that would have been fine.......instead we had to all wait and listen to the race MC go over and over the same information. I sensed he liked hearing his own voice.......but a lot of us just wanted to start running!!
