My first Sprint Tri for a while, which I attended with a few like minded friends. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Merchant Taylors (MT) was a great venue for the event. Ample car parking, smooth check-in. Picturesque lake for the 750m swim, local roads for the Bike course with a bit of elevation to keep it interesting then back to MT for 2 laps around the lake and a section of the athletics track for the last 300m surge to the finish. Very well attended and hence a great atmosphere. Couple of other distances available with aquathlon and duathlon options also available too.

A fun and friendly event - lots of enthusiasm from marshalls/volunteers etc. All ran smoothly, only thing I would note is that I'm v glad I'd done a similar event otherwise the pre-race logistics might have been slightly confusing . Note that's only up until the race started, eve...

Generally well run small event. However, the event carpark was busy with cars when we were returning from the Bike leg of the race, it was chaotic trying to get passed, surprised there wasn’t an accident. This needs fixing for next year. The marshal stationed at the dismount line was too busy chatting instead of waving his flag to signal where the dismount line was, also why is it on a 90 degree corner?
