I thoroughly enjoyed the 12 hour Odyssey event. The camaraderie was wonderful- everyone, including the triathletes, were very friendly and supportive, as were the general public along the course. The setting was lovely. The marshals were great -especially the one at the 'disco' water station! I only have one issue to raise - the advertised 'Pasta Party' turned out to be not what we expected. The paltry amount given in the bowl was abysmal and very expensive for such a minute amount. We had to go back to our camp and cook up more pasta ! It was fortunatel that we had brought some with us.

Absolutely fantastic event with seamless organisation! Done this 3 years now and love it. It's fun, challenging, exciting. Bit for everyone in this. Bad point same as last year, more effort needs to be made for runners finish, appreciate its a late finish but a podium and top ...

Absolutely fantastic event with seamless organisation! Done this 3 years now and love it. It's fun, challenging, exciting. Bit for everyone in this. Bad point same as last year, more effort needs to be made for runners finish, appreciate its a late finish but a podium and top 3 medals for categories would be top priority. 2nd and 3rd place still ran serious miles and hours too and don't get much recognition. Other than that a 5 star day Thanks

My first full triathlon distance event and it didn’t disappoint. I selected this knowing there was likely to be a small field as I was concerned about the swim. I spoke with the event owner at registration, and he squashed any of the concerns I had. The team on the bike aid station were fantastic couldn’t do enough for me and others. The bike was rolling with limited traffic to worry about. The run course was flat and enjoyable with other distance events taking part so there were always people about. When I eventually completed the event, I was offered plenty of snacks and given my race medal. Slightly disappointed my finishers t-shirt wasn’t given to me when I finished, went back but they had run out of my size. No dramas. The goodie bag was decent event included a nice new pair of goggles. Thank you, ATW events and your team it was spot on, and certainly a day I won’t forget. A very special mention to the kayak team in the water for helping me with cramp and to continue to keep an eye on me as I finished the swim.

Lovely friendly race and marshalls, nothing officious. Finally this event got some decent weather 3rd time lucky. The sw1m in the River Gt Ouse was lovely and warm. Any river sw1mming is always bug prone but I was careful to keep my gob shut as best as I could, and wore a nose clip and ear plugs, and I've not had any sickness 48 hrs later. 4 out and back laps was good, no bad current at any point to contend with. Bike course is very clearly signed, again 4 x 27.7 mile laps, always kept you entertained. Windy for the 3rd year in a row! but still quite fast, mainly out West into Bedfordshire (not Cambs) which is lovely, and occasionally rolling. The run is about 25% easy trail/grass/track, 6 x 7km laps and thoroughly enjoyable, 99% flat, with a few foot bridges over the wet bits within the water park. High5 nutrition is always good, bike and run. The enthusiastic Announcer was always doing a great job each lap. Who needs Kona? :D Lots of half iron atherleets joining the bike course from 2nd lap, you were never lonely.

Did my first full distance triathlon here in 2025. Great event, would highly recommend. The swim was lovely in the river Ouse. Bike course was well marked and on nice quiet roads with minimal waiting for cars or other traffic. Run was on a nice, flat course with lots of opportuni...

Did my first full distance triathlon here in 2025. Great event, would highly recommend. The swim was lovely in the river Ouse. Bike course was well marked and on nice quiet roads with minimal waiting for cars or other traffic. Run was on a nice, flat course with lots of opportunities for spectators to see you go past. Only downsides were the ‘pasta party’ beforehand which was a bit of a joke - £7 for a tiny bowl of plain pasta with either grated cheese or bolognese. Vegan option was plain pasta with some herbs so ended up just buying pesto in Lidl to add - definitely would recommend having your own dinner. Also aid stations on the run are at 5 and 7km on each lap so there’s a 5km gap with no aid stations each lap, not too sure why it wasn’t at 3.5km. Also only about 50 entrants for full distance which is good and bad. The guy doing the speaker was amazing not sure of his name. Overall would definitely recommend!

this was my first full triathlon, and what a way to do it. it was amazing. I loved it. Obviously it was really hard, but it was so much fun and the organisation was INCREDIBLE. The swim was delightful, it's nice and easy and fast.... the bike is nice, it's a good rolling course, ...

this was my first full triathlon, and what a way to do it. it was amazing. I loved it. Obviously it was really hard, but it was so much fun and the organisation was INCREDIBLE. The swim was delightful, it's nice and easy and fast.... the bike is nice, it's a good rolling course, the only downside was the weather. it was the apocalypse, it was horrible... it was chucking it down, the course was flooded, i got a puncture..... BUT THEN... THE MARSHALLS... THEY WERE AMAZING.... i was freezing and they gave me coats, they gave me food, they helped fix my bike, i was on the verge of dropping out and they saved me, i cannot thank them enough. if it wasnt for them i would have given up. They were amazing! I did the bike and then onto the run, it's a good course, really good for spectators, and nice and flat. genuinely the best event i've ever done, hardest, but also the best

I've been competing in triathlons/Duathlon/aqua bike since 1987 and this event is up with the best. From easy parking at 8.30 am to going home at 10.30 pm. Superb organisation to fantastic friendly staff and the good bag allow is worth coming back next year .(Which my family will) My two son and I loved competing and my wife supported us for 14hrs and loved it . Well done ATW
