Great race nice organisation. I will avoid the laps and make as much straight as possible the running part. Also in the first transition the distance between the running finish line and the bikes is a bit far.

I did this event last year and was very impressed. This year was advertised as having a revised 2.5 km lap running course. We were expecting to do 4 laps to make up the first 10km however it became obvious during the run that the lap was much longer and mid race the number of laps was reduced from 4 to 3. The lap was reduced to 2.5km for the second run. I cannot understand how such a breakdown in communications was allowed to happen. It wasn’t mentioned in the race briefing. To rearrange a race mid race is a quite outstanding for all the wrong reasons.

With half of each run leg “off-road” ie wet , boggy grass , this made it difficult as feet slipped & on tired legs ! Same with bike out / in , again on wet grass ., Bike route was well marked .
