Some course marking would have been nice on the longer courses, but understand the reasons for not doing it. Maybe just some spray paint, or discreet tags would work? Oh and Devon could be flatter!

Great event. Well organised but sadly the course threw up some route issues with direction which could have helped some additional signage in a couple of key areas. Overall the course was good and definitely challenging, although a couple of the outright MTB large rocky ascents and descents could have been missed off.overall looking forward to better our times next year.

A good event, but maybe a little more accurate information could be provided on how tough the terrain actually is. It would have made my decision on which route to choose or whether to do the event itself a little easier. Even allowing for the minimum tyre choice in my gravel bike and adding the 50% additional for road equivalent, this was a very challenging ride (Standard route) and far above my ability of off road riding as a roadie. Thankfully I was cautious on which course to do, but even then it was a very challenging ride. It鈥檚 certainly not a beginner / gravel bike friendly course and was an extremely hard ride in terms of technical ability. A lot of hike-a-bike too in some areas of the route. Several people I spoke to on gravel bikes said much the same thing including one of the marshalls which was reassuring. Thankfully managed to complete the route and stay upright despite a couple of near spills. On the positive side if youre an experienced off roader with the right kit, you would be fine. The views / landscape was good, feed stations well stocked, volunteers extremely helpful and friendly and the event well organised.

We'll have another look at how we describe the routes. Yes there are some challenges but it is all 100 percent ridable on a gravel bike with probably just two short sections of about 50m each that you need very good legs & technique to clear. If Pidcock & MVDP were riding it they'd definitely be on gravel bikes but for novice off-roaders it's probably easier on an MTB & we'll try to make that clearer. We also know that for experienced off-road riders those trails are very tame on an MTB so some people like the extra challenge of being a tad under-biked.

Beautiful and varied landscape, great course but with challenging technical sections (smooth stones, sandy patches, flinty climbs, one or two stepped descents, woodland and fords). A big selling point is the friendly and ample catering - real food and drinks breaks before you know you need them. Well signposted on the Common land, digital mapping was v good, turn by turn audio from Komoot had a few errors but that's on Komoot. Nicely organised, relaxed, almost low key - could happily grow into a bigger event

A really well organized event and good comms etc. The extreme route was a challenging one and a good one and took us all over the region. Well marked and the variety of surface was outstanding, although it would have been good to have a heads up about the sandy/loose rock parts, especially at the bottom of the downhills. The neutralized start was a good idea also. Feed stations were well stocked with very friendly staff. Would be good to have clearer size chart for the T shirts. My M size was way to big :).
