I loved this event. It was my first event longer than half marathon and I appreciated the early start option. The route was great and the aid stations were well organise and stocked with a good selection of drinks and sweet and savory snacks . The route was great, self navigation was fun and added a good challenge but the information provided was great and very helpful. The section along the pennine way was awesome and it was fun crossing the m62. Food at the end was outstanding and the venue was relaxed with good facilities, including showers. I think this is a good event for beginners and more experienced runners. I ran it on my own but found everyone friendly and cheerful. Thanks for a great event and hope to see you next year!

I really enjoyed the 20+ miles route. I was worried about the cutoffs (as I'm a walker and no spring chicken) but the RD said they were relaxed about those and in the end I finished well within the 8 hours allowed. It was a runnable route in most places and the views were impressive, despite the misty and showery weather. I particularly liked the objective of reaching each of the 5 trig points, to keep me going. Great support points and people, and start/finish food. My fv70 award made it all feel worth the effort of a 3 hour journey the night before and completing the course. It's one I would do again. Parking at the race venue is a bit of an issue but if you don't mind a bit of a walk, or getting a taxi, you'll be fine.

This is a race I have done 3 times now. And the value for money is incredible there isn鈥檛 many races where you get offered a good breakfast before starting out aswell as a hearty healthy meal when you return back to base. You have a tracker and there are craggrunner volunteers out on course, you are well supported and looked after. The whole crew wants you do well and the race has a great atmosphere.

Great organisation as always with Craggrunner events, always well informed by emails and on race day, the event was well marshelled at the checkpoints and food stations with very happy friendly Marshalls even in the cold and wet and the food stations were very well stocked, (thanks for the whiskey guys) the course and scenery is fantastic, well mostly on a clear day and the food at the end of the race was fantastic, I cannot recommend this race or any other cragg runner enough as Darren is always front and centre of every and very friendly and approachable

The friendliness of the organising and the opportunity to have a real independent adventure (with route choices) over a long distance whilst feeling supported.
