Had a great morning out on the bike. The course was awesome with the climb straight out the cricket club ensuring all the riders were spread out reducing bottlenecks. Awesome flowing descents and some challenging climbs. Beautiful woodlands and great views, very little road which is great to get away from the cars. Always a great atmosphere at Channel events and I often ride them solo as it’s really friendly and not intimidating. Fantastic facilities, would have love to have camped and made a weekend of it but this year couldn’t but hope to stay in the future and bring some friends. I would have liked to have done the extra loop after a little lunch at the car park but was a bit worried about battery range as riding e bike this year. To make it even better if a charging station for a little boast was available to ensure e bikers could do it on one battery would make it even better for this one and the Exmoor explorer that would have worked. The 27.5 length of the Mendip course perfect for e bikes on one battery but over 30 the range anxiety kicks in even in eco the whole way.

Thank you so much for your amazing review James! We're so glad you enjoyed the day! Unfortunately it's just not feasible to be able to charge batteries at the cricket club. Some did bring their own power banks and were able to charge batteries and make it out before the 2nd loop closed! Hope to see you at the next one! 🧡☺️

Brilliantly organised event. Well marked course, good fuel station, pleasant time Marshall's and the finish line refreshments were good if you were a meat eater. Thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait till next year.
