The SME crew does an outstanding job in putting on races. This is the second MSE race I did this summer and both were well organized and a nice course. I was supposed to compete in the USAT Sprint Championship in Milwaukee, but severe weather caused a cancellation of the race. Despite it being only a week later, MSE offered discounted entry for athletes looking for a new race. This is an outstanding gesture not here part as most races are increasing there prices in the last week. Despite my late entry I even got an event shirt. The logistics of the race are fantastic, with parking being right next to the finish and transition area. The course was laid out to provide a loop for the swim and bike with an out-and-back run. With temperatures hitting the 80's and 90's cold towels were handed out at the aide stations on the run.This provided welcome relief from the heat. IN addition to a really nice finisher's and AG award medals, there is your choice of a burger, hot dog or vegan burger along with a beer for all participants. It made me think of the 90's when that was more common and apple]sant ending of the race day. Thank-you to the MSE race crew and all they do for create an unforgettable race day experience.

Super flat race in very high heat. Staff made sure to help racers cool down at every aid station, and they were very friendly. It was a very fun race, and not too difficult for family/friends to navigate and cheer me on at many different points. I will definitely do this race aga...
