Race was well organised and logistically sound at the start/end location. Should have more martialls on the route and support vehicles/bikes. On the entry road back into Tavistock on bike loop there was a lot of potholes on a fast down hill section into a short sharp up hill section which was dangerous when approached with any speed. Need to liaise with local council to get the road potholes filled in ahead of the race others wise there could be a serious accident.

This was my first sprint triathlon. The 50m pool was excellent quality and of good temperature. The bike ride course was lovely and scenic, starting with a long gradual ascent on an A road, followed by a lane around the edge of Dartmoor, then a gradual ascent on a B road back to the town. The run course had more inclines and steps than expected, but was a great challenge with many signposted twists and turns through a variety of surfaces and scenery. Excellent quality snacks (flapjacks etc) were provided at the finish. Staff were friendly, and the overall event well organised in splendid surroundings.

A great friendly triathlon with a very scenic bike route. Not one for a PB as it’s quite hilly but a wonderful 50m pool and great setting makes it really enjoyable. It’s one I look forward to!
